Charleston Insulation Company was founded in 2025 by a team of insulation professionals who grew up in West Virginia and saw firsthand how much energy Charleston-area homes were wasting. The city has a lot of older housing stock - homes built in the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s that were never insulated to modern standards. Those homes get cold in the winter, hot in the summer, and their owners pay more in energy bills every single month than they should.
Charleston sits in a river valley where humidity is a constant pressure on homes. Wet crawl spaces, musty basements, and ice-cold floors in January are common complaints from homeowners in Kanawha City, South Hills, and the West Side neighborhoods. We started this company specifically to address those problems with materials and methods that work in this climate, not just techniques copied from warmer or drier parts of the country.
We are a locally owned operation. Every crew member is based here. We serve 12 communities across West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio, and we plan to stay. Our goal is simple: do the work right the first time, treat customers the way we would want to be treated, and build a reputation in this region that we can be proud of for the long term.
